May 2018 Mission Recap
All SPARC Flights are designed to incorporate aspects of every SPARC Division. That allows all SPARC members to contribute to the annual flight.
This flight involved four astronauts flying the SPARC Odyssey spacecraft on a mission to Mars, Europa, Uranus and Pluto.
During the mission, the astronauts deployed a state-of-the-art system to track exo-systems and bodies of significant mass in the solar system. The mission encountered unexpected challenges, but falling back on their training and skills, the astronauts were able to successfully complete their mission.
Congratulations to all of the SPARC students and the faculty advisors for completing the mission and continuing the legacy started by Robert Montgomery more than 56 years ago!
